Cavern Development
Solution mining for cavern development requires specialized operating and maintenance skills to efficiently achieve the desired shape and volume at minimum risk. Many of our clientele rely upon PB to provide the experienced workforce necessary develop new caverns in bedded and domal salt. PB is presently performing leaching O&M services for salt caverns designed for hydrogen and natural gas storage
Brine production requires the same care and control as cavern development leaching not only to meet production demands, but to also ensure that that when fully mined, each cavern is ideally suitable for potential future hydrocarbon storage.
Contract Facility Operations & Maintenance
PB performs contract operations and maintenance services for several cavern and pipeline facilities:
- Texas natural gas storage cavern facility.
- Natural gas transmission and delivery pipelines.
- Commercial brine production facilities producting nearly 40 million barrels of brine annually.
It is PB’s policy to not engage in operations or maintenance activities that would create competition with our owner-operator clientele.
